Cooling System

The fluid cooling system cools the reservoir inside the Heater/Cooler base to remove heat from the thermoelectric device during sub-ambient operation. The following components comprise the cooling system:

The fluid cooling system includes a reservoir bottle and tubing. The cooling water flows from the reservoir bottle to the pump, through the reservoir inside the Heater/Cooler base, and back to the reservoir bottle. The pump-side of the bottle includes a fitting with the suction tube inside the bottle. The tubing is standard 1/16" (1.59 mm) ID x 1/8" (3.2 mm) OD polyurethane tubing.

To cool the fluid in the reservoir it must be placed in a cold bath in the ice bucket:
